Styled Shoot: Romantic and Rosey by the Fireplace

We are so pumped to show off our latest styled shoot! Before we share, let’s talk about a few things.

What is a styled shoot?

Great question! Seasoned wedding vendors typically have a large catalog of their work that they are proud to show off! Wedding vendors love the opportunity to be creative, and they get to do this often through weddings they participate in. Sometimes, though, it’s fun to have a space to allow the wedding vendors to show off their own, fresh ideas to further inspire future couples. This leads us to the answer to the original question: A styled shoot is a mock event put together by various wedding vendors that is then photographed, and sometimes videoed, that utilizes models to bring big ideas, unique inspiration and beauty to help you plan your wedding day!

Inspiration

This particular styled shoot that was put together by Meagan Stone of Raising Stone Photography. She came to us with an idea to do a shoot complete with a mood board full of fun and whimsy with a color palette that she called “Rosey Sunset.” How dreamy does that sound?! Meagan said, ” I am just going for a fun playful vibe,” and we think she nailed it!

Setting the Scene

After collaborating with Meagan, it was decided that an outdoor picnic styled shoot would be a great way to showcase fun and highlight our beautiful outdoor fireplace area. Rustic Grace is so excited to offer such a lovely, cozy option for our couples and their guests to use for events! The Rustic Grace Fireplace is the perfect spot to offer for your guests to relax after a meal, enjoying the ambiance of the Texas sky and outdoor cafe lights. It’s truly a magical spot after dark! This styled shoot shows just how beautiful it is in the daytime, too!

Outdoor Fireplace Picnic Styled Shoot

So, after Meagan assembled the team of wedding vendors, it was time to see all of those creative ideas come to life! Amber, from Styled by Amber Events, brought in a beautiful picnic table perfect for floor-style seating.  Then, she added a white mesh table runner to soften the look and bring in a boho vibe. To further set a romantic mood, she styled the table with brass candlesticks and repurposed the bridal bouquet as table decor. Of course, beautiful white plates were set atop earthy chargers and topped with the softest, rosey pink napkins. Gold and white cutlery adorned the table as well, which would not only be functional, but would look beautiful while indulging in the boho mermaid wedding cake by My Little Crump Cakes. Finally, the styled shoot setup was not complete without rosey pink pillows for lounging. This styled shoot gives the perfect inspiration for the dreamiest post-nuptial wedding picnic!

Taking a Look at the Styled Shoot Couple

We know we can gain inspiration from the details of a styled shoot, but there’s a lot to see when you look at the models, too! Kristen Farrah is truly an artist and does such a great job giving her clients just the perfect look for their wedding day makeup. The muted rosey tones that she used for this shoot pair perfectly with the other boho details! Glossed Collective took that same idea, a boho wedding look, and styled the perfect romantic hairstyle for the bridal model. The bride wore a high neck lace gown, which was provided by Lulu’s. The groom looked charming and well-dressed in his suit jacket, jeans, and cowboy hat. Put that all together with the gorgeous bouquet provided by Borrowed & Bloomed, and you’ve got yourself some styled shoot wedding inspiration! So, that begs the question . . .

What do I do with Styled Shoot inspiration?

Now is the time to plan! Look at the details, the colors, the textures. What do you like? Could you swap out something else that better suits your style? Do you love the dress, but prefer different shoes? Love the textures but prefer a different color palette? What do you think about the hairstyle? Prefer an updo, but love the hair color? Consider your budget, too. Can you afford some of the elements but not all of them? Pick your top three! The beauty of getting married at Rustic Grace Estate is that there is so much built-in charm. You can bring all of the details you can dream of, or you can also have a beautiful, special day with just a few simple wedding designs!

Final Takeaway

Your wedding day is yours! Pull inspiration from styled shoots, from life, from your dreams. Choose what’s most important to you, and let go of things that don’t fit into your budget. Most importantly, if you want an affordable, beautiful wedding, start by choosing the right wedding venue. At Rustic Grace Estate, we love weddings, and we can’t wait to be a part of yours!
