Our First Wedding

Today is the big day! After months of renovations and countless hours spent preparing the old, red barn to be something beautiful, today is the day where everything comes together! (We hope . . . still waiting to see what the weather decides to do. . . . )

Bride and Groom

Bride and Groom

I thought it might be fun to get to know our first couple! Kenze is a sweet, sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a loving heart. She spends her work time teaching English to high school students. She’s so brave! Jacob is funny and is the type of guy everyone wants to be around. He works as a nurse and, no doubt, brightens the days of his patients. Jacob has a 4 year-old daughter, Ava, who is so blessed to have Kenze in her life! Kenze has lots of work ahead of her trying to keep both Jacob

AND Ava in line!

I asked Jacob and Kenze to say a few words about each other.

Jacob: “To narrow down how much and what I love about Kenze is not easy. I love that she loves and cares for my daughter deeply, as if she is her own. I love that she displays the love of Christ in her life and will fulfill the role of the wife that Christ has called her to be. I am blessed to soon call her my wife!”

Kenze: “From the beginning of our relationship to the (almost) beginning to our marriage, I have fallen more in love with Jacob for many reasons.  I love him because he exudes the importance of Christ in our relationship.  I love him because daily he strives to be the man God has called him to be. I love him because in his presence I feel like a queen. Christ calls couples to love one another as He has loved us, which is a big task, but one that we strive for daily.  Our love is not based upon circumstances, but based on the love that Christ shows us-a love that is unconditional. I look forward to falling more in love with one another as we spend the rest of our lives together.”

Happy wedding day, Jacob and Kenze! May you be blessed with many years to grow more and more in love with each other.

“Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away.”
