Hello, everyone! I am super excited to have been given the opportunity to be a guest blogger for Rustic Grace Estate! I just want to take a few moments today to talk about wedding photography. My name is Bethany, of Bethany Erin Photography, and I am a local fine art wedding photographer.
My approach to weddings is a combination of both fine art and documentary styles. My goal is always to tell your story beautifully with my images. My work is almost exclusively captured on film, which means that I deal with negatives and photo labs more than memory cards and Photoshop. I love knowing that with film I am providing my clients with the highest quality in artistic photographs in a world that is saturated with digital snapshots. I am very passionate about film and the moments that I document with it. I am in love with the colors, the richness and the idea of capturing an image on such a tangible medium. I love the process of creating images with film. For me, it is slower and more purposeful than when I work with digital, which I still do when the occasion calls for it. But my preference and first choice will always be film. Film has taught me to wait in anticipation for the moments that stand out the most beautifully to me, and I always hope that the emotion and beauty of my images will speak to the sentiments of the viewer.
I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Rustic Grace Estate last December and loved it so much! They have a lovely space for getting ready filled with beautiful light, and a variety of outdoor options for photographs. The staff at Rustic Grace are both incredibly friendly and helpful, and the grounds have the perfect amount of charm for a rustic wedding! My favorite part about Rustic Grace Estate is that it easily hosts your full wedding day, from getting ready, ceremony and reception, which means less time spent traveling from one location to the next, and more time to take beautiful photographs! This time is more valuable than brides often realize, as travel usually cuts sharply into time that would be better spent creating beautiful pictures of your wedding! I hope you enjoy my favorites from this Rustic Grace Estate wedding, if you would like to see more of my work please visit www.BethanyErinWeddings.com, and follow me on Instagram @bethanyerinphotography.
