Winter Chapel Wedding | Julia M. Photography

Sidney and Seth’s day was one for the books! Their winter wedding was held at a gorgeous venue, Rustic Grace Estate, in Van Alstyne, Texas. This was my first time to shoot at this venue and it has quickly become one of my favorite wedding locations in Texas! Filled with soft colors, peonies a white chapel and a red barn, you couldn’t ask for a more perfect southern wedding! My favorite part about this venue is the atmosphere of simple elegance that is felt as soon as you step through the dark wooden doors of the chapel. You immediately feel a sense of calm and peace. The few moments I spent alone in the chapel photographing details I felt a sense of anticipation that brought only joy. I could see that something big was about to happen here. The simple design and use of natural wood shows such a strong sense of rooted tradition that is felt. It beautifully accents the reason we are truly here–to celebrate a marriage beginning. It never distracts from the purpose of this day, rather every piece of the design of Rustic Grace adds to the real and true moments of the day. And lest we forget about that red, red barn. Every bride needs to make sure they have at least one photograph with the red barn behind them! It is the perfect touch to remind these brides of their southern roots. My other favorite piece of Rustic Grace is the gorgeous bridal room. Natural light pours in, allowing for photos of the bride preparing to see her groom to be soft and simple.  Yet the best part of the day was the way Sidney and Seth carried themselves throughout the day. These two are the real deal. Every piece of this day moved me and made me remember why I absolutely love this job. My absolute favorite part of Seth & Sidney’s day was all of the sweet, in between, quiet moments especially the seconds shared between these two immediately after they exited the chapel after the ceremony ( posted below!!) Sidney and Seth walked away from the crowd and allowed each other to create a few moments of a private world, just for them to share. They had a moment to quietly promise to each other that this is so much than just a pretty day, it was a promise they made before all those they love to honor and respect each other. And they are ready to keep this forever in their world. Thank you for allowing me to capture this day! (All vendors listed below!)
