Seating Charts

A great way to ensure that all of your guests have a place to sit and are next to their family members and close friends is by creating a seating chart! We have found that wedding guests appreciate being able to walk into the reception, read the chart, and immediately know where they are supposed to go. You also don’t have to worry about running out of chairs or certain groups not being able to find a table together. Seating charts make everything easier for you and for your guests!

If you are thinking that creating a seating chart sounds like a huge hassle and that it will take up too much time, that is actually not true! While it is an option to create an intricate chart with a name card for each place at every table, that is definitely not necessary. We have seen the name cards a handful of times, but typically the seating chart is just to locate the actual table rather than an exact seat. You can easily print out cards with the table number and list of names and just string it up on the wall or onto a board of some sort. We have also seen the chart written on old windows and chalkboard signs, cards laid out on a table, a framed poster board, etc. We’ve even seen the seating chart printed on the back of the ceremony program so that the guests already have it before the reception even begins! There are so many simple ways to do this and it really makes a difference on the wedding day.
