Winter themed and Christmas weddings are becoming more and more popular, and Edna and Ben’s Christmas wedding was especially beautiful and unique! Andrea with OUTRÉ CINEMA did a wonderful job at capturing not only the essence of the wedding day, but Edna and Ben’s love and devotion for one another. We love that this Christmas wedding highlight video is interesting and unique, and that it so clearly shows the emotions of everyone who was a part of it. Edna told us from the very beginning that she wanted a Christmas wedding… she wanted it to look like Christmas, feel like Christmas, and even smell like Christmas! She even went so far as having pine scented glade plug-ins all around the barn to make it smell like a tree farm. We loved hearing all about her vision for her Christmas wedding theme, and we definitely feel that she accomplished what she was going for and more!

Edna chose to have long rectangular tables to create an intimate atmosphere in the reception space. With deep burgundy linens, greenery and pine cones lining the tables, and accents of gold, she accomplished her goal of a Christmas wedding in our 1920’s red barn! One of our favorite touches to the barn was the hot chocolate bar. After dinner was over, a table was transformed into a cute, cozy area for guests to create their own hot chocolate beverage adorned with marshmallows, cinnamon sticks, candy canes, and more! It was such a fun idea, and the guests absolutely loved it. It was definitely made use of, especially since the low was 18 degrees that day! Another fun fact: Edna wore her mom’s wedding dress from the 80’s!

In our vintage white wedding chapel, decor was kept fairly simple except for a beautiful display on the stage. Two vintage white ladders were placed near the center with draping over them, and lanterns and LED candles surrounded them. It looked gorgeous on top of the reclaimed wooden floors in the chapel, and drew everyone’s attention up to the stage with the view of the lake and longhorns in the background!
